Come explore with me as I combine my passion for creating with my love of nature, and let my art grow wild! I combine elements such as live plants, weathered wood, and wool to create whimsical and functional felted wool fiber art to embrace the textures of nature.

I have always felt a deep connection to nature, drawn from childhood camping trips to the mountains, afternoons tending flower gardens with my grandma, and explorations of the wild timber and prairie on my family’s acreage in northeast Iowa. For the past few years, I've allowed my passion for the outdoors to influence my work in new and exciting ways. I’ve become captivated with the qualities of wool as a fine art medium. As a natural element, it’s the perfect means to communicate my admiration for nature through art.

Training in painting and drawing have influenced my process and application of fiber in my work. Where a brushstroke once was, a tuft of cotton candy-like fiber takes its place. Where a pencil would have created a sharp line, a needle now pushes a tiny strand of wool into place. As the fibers transform under my fingertips during the felting process, I embrace the contrast between the intention of the artist, and the tactile beauty and unpredictability of my medium.

My felted artworks are soft and approachable, and inspire examination and curiosity. My work encourages viewers to appreciate the beauty of nature in a surprising

and unexpected way.

Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
